Privacy

This site is static. Most pages are just files served to your browser with no server-side processing and nothing written down about you. The exceptions are listed below, in full, because that’s the entire list.

Email subscription

If you submit the subscribe form, your email address and chosen language are sent to this site’s server function, which:

• Signs a confirmation link containing your email address and sends it to you via Resend, the email delivery service. Resend acts as a processor for that message and, once you confirm, holds your address as a subscriber so future posts can be sent to you.
• Briefly stores your IP address in a counter (deleted after one hour) purely to stop the form from being spammed.
• Briefly stores the confirmation link itself (deleted once it expires or is used, whichever comes first — at most 24 hours) so the same link can’t be used twice.

Every subscription email includes an unsubscribe option. Unsubscribing removes you from Resend’s list. To have your address removed entirely, or to ask what is held about you, use the contact address on the About page.

Comments

The comment section below each post is provided by Giscus, which stores comments as GitHub Discussions on this site’s repository, ffzz/blog. That repository is public, so your comment text and GitHub username are visible to anyone and may be indexed by search engines. Commenting requires a GitHub account and is governed by GitHub’s privacy policy — this site never sees your GitHub credentials.

Analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies, without fingerprinting, and without storing anything tied to you individually. If you’d rather opt out of even that, most browsers’ “block third-party scripts” setting is effective, since it’s loaded from a separate domain.

Everything else

Reading, searching, and browsing this site involves no accounts, no cookies set by this site itself, and no tracking beyond what’s described above.
